The apple orchards are open for picking and that means apples are plentiful. I realize a lot of people are Team Pumpkin when fall rolls around, but I've always been a Team Apple kind of gal. This also means it's time to start making my favorite pie ... Paper Bag Apple Pie! It's no secret that I love to cook, but baking is not one of my fortes. So, when I discovered this apple pie recipe years ago, it became one of my few (very few) baking specialties. I think you and your family will love it as much as mine and maybe even make it a fun family tradition. We love to go and get our apples (and have all of the fun that comes along with an apple orchard) and then come home and make this incredibly easy and delicious pie.
I have been making this recipe for over 30 years now and it turns out perfect every time (no baking skills required at all ... I promise!). This will quickly become a family favorite in your house as well. And, it's a perfect recipe to let the kids help make with you, too!
