In a couple of weeks local schools will be starting back up again. Seems like summer break has just begun and at the same time, it feels like it has been going on too long! Mixed feelings are very normal. But, one thing we do know is a new routine will begin. For the working moms, what will you do with the few extra minutes that you will have because you no longer have to leave early to drop off at a babysitter or camp? For the Stay at Home Moms (SAHMs), what will you do with that extra time while your kiddos are at school? Well, the first thing I will be doing is going for a cup of sunshine (coffee for some - ice tea for me) ... alone! Maybe you want to do the same thing? A few other suggestions for you (especially the SAHMs) are:
- Join a health club (if you work, get to go back to the health club)
- Run your errands, alone
- Enjoy lunch with friends (if you work, get a lunch break again - not having to juggle kids)
- Volunteer
- Help at school
- Start a new hobby
- Meditate
- Organize closets,clean out the mom-mobile, etc.
- Read a book (if you work, before work or on that lunch break you get again)
