Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville)

Join the United City of Yorkville, Kiwanis Club, and Knights of Columbus in this year's Yorktoberfest on Saturday, October 5 at Riverfront Park from Noon-9pm! Yorktoberfest is a combination of the traditional German celebration of Oktoberfest with a special Yorkville twist!  Enjoy a day filled with food, children's activities, live music and everyone's favorite - THE PUMPKIN PULL!

Free Family Activities (Noon-4pm)

Hayrides

Come take a ride around Riverfront Park!  The John Deere will be out and ready for you and the kids to enjoy a not-so-spooky ride through the woods! 


Pumpkin Decorating

Paint, glue and stick fabulous decorations as your family creates a pumpkin masterpiece! There will be a one pumpkin limit per family while supplies last. 


Haystack Hunt

No needles in this haystack; however, it could be just as hard to find the hidden objects!  Children will dig through mounds of hay as they search for the hidden objects to redeem a prize!  This free event is sure to be a crowd favorite as everyone is guaranteed to be a winner!  The Haystack Hunt will be held every half hour beginning at Noon with the final hunt scheduled at 4:00pm.


Bounce Houses

Free and fun for all ages!


Halloween Costume Parade (6:40pm at Town Square)

Wear your spookiest, most creative costume as you parade around the park for your chance to win prizes!  This is a free event intended for children 10 and under.  See below for more details!


Halloween Egg Hunt (7pm at Town Square)

Wear a costume, bring your flashlight and a container for eggs, and hunt in the darkness for candy-filled eggs! This is a free event intended for children 10 and under.  See below for more details!


Pumpkin Pull (Approximately 4:45pm)

Watch as hundreds of pumpkins race down the Fox River in this year's Pumpkin Pull sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.  Buy a pumpkin, cheer it on as it races down the river, and have your chance at winning dozens of prizes including the grande prize of a new grill from Purcell Ace Hardware!  Pumpkins will be available to purchase throughout the event (while supplies last) for $5 a pumpkin, $10 for three pumpkins or $20 for seven pumpkins! The Pumpkin Pull will start at approximately 4:45pm.
