VISITS WITH SANTA AT HOLIDAY CELEBRATION Friday, November 17 (3:30-5:30pm) Looking to see Santa Claus this winter? Santa is setting up his workshop inside the Hydraulic Ave Recreation Building (201 W Hydraulic, Yorkville) on Friday, November 17 (3:30-5:30pm) and is inviting YOU for a visit! Families will have the opportunity to share their wish lists with Santa and his elves! Please be prepared for the possibility of long lines as you wait to visit with Santa. Families will not be accepted after 5:30pm on Friday to ensure everyone in line visits Santa prior to his return back to the North Pole.Don't forget to head over to Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic) after you visit Santa and join in for festive community performances by the YPAC Santa Dancers & Elf Jr. (6pm), YHS Madrigal Singers (6:15pm), the Holiday Celebration Parade (6:30pm) and annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony (7pm)! Santa’s Workshop will be placed inside the Recreation Building on Hydraulic Ave (201 W Hydraulic, Yorkville). Parking downtown in the surrounding lots may be limited as families arrive for the Holiday Celebration events, so please plan accordingly. YORKVILLE HOLIDAY CELEBRATION PARADE! Friday, November 17 · 6:30pmRiverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic) Join the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department this year at the Yorkville Holiday Celebration in downtown Yorkville as they spread some holiday cheer with a Parade starting at 6:30pm. The parade will begin at the corner of Hydraulic Ave and Mill Street, proceed West down Hydraulic Avenue, and end at Route 47. They ask all parade spectators to view the parade on the North side of Hydraulic Ave along the sidewalk of Riverfront Park. Anyone is eligible to have a float within the parade and all interested participants are encouraged to contact the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department to confirm a space within the parade. Floats will be accepted the day of the parade as space allows and are encouraged to have lights illuminating their float as it will be dark during the parade. HOLIDAY CELEBRATION TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY Join Mayor Purcell and Santa Claus in this long-standing tradition as they light the 22-foot Christmas tree at Riverfront Park (131 E Hydraulic Ave, Yorkville) on Friday, November 17. The Holiday Celebration includes an entire night of festive fun on Friday, November 17 including Visits with Santa (3:30-5:30pm), festive community performances and Holiday Parade starting at 6:30pm. Join everyone again on Saturday for the Craft Bazaar, holiday races, and the fireworks show (6:30pm) at the corner of Rt 47 and Countryside Pkwy! | |

Get ready to light up the race with your favorite ugly sweater and other festive gear while participating in either the Jingle Jog Family Fun Run or Rudolph Run 5K on Saturday, November 18! Not only will those sweaters keep your warm and looking fabulous while you run, but you also have your chance to WIN! One winner will be selected in each of the following 3 categories: the Most Festive Adult (18+), Most Festive Child (17 & Under) and Group (2+ People)!
